Monarch Series National Championship
The 2026 Monarch Show Series National Championship Horse Show is set for September 9–13, 2026, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, and we look forward to welcoming exhibitors, trainers, families, and friends from across the country.
The 2026 Prize Book, official show schedule, and online entry forms are now available. We encourage exhibitors to review the prize book, plan their championship experience, and submit entries before the August 24, 2026 closing date.
Monarch continues to provide a national championship experience built on outstanding competition, exceptional sportsmanship, and a welcoming atmosphere for exhibitors of all ages and experience levels. Whether you are returning to compete or joining us for the first time, we look forward to making this year's Championship one to remember.

Qualification Requirements:
The qualification period for each Monarch National Championship begins on the day following the conclusion of the previous year's Monarch National Championship and continues through the start of the current year's Monarch National Championship.
To be eligible to compete in any Monarch-titled Amateur or Junior Exhibitor Championship class, the same horse-and-rider combination must have competed in any division at a minimum of three (3) horse shows during the qualification period. Any horse show may be used to satisfy this requirement. This includes local, academy, open breed, and breed-specific competitions.

No qualification is required for:

Monarch Open American Saddlebred classes

Monarch Hackney Pony division

Monarch Parade division

Monarch Open Saddle Seat Equitation classes

American Saddlebred Junior/Limit classes

Academy
Unless otherwise specified, all class titles beginning with "Monarch" require qualification, while all class titles beginning with "Open Breed" do not require qualification, except as noted above.
Horses may cross-enter into the Open Breed Division. However, any horse-and-rider combination competing in the Single-Bit Division must remain in the Single-Bit Division.
