Open to individuals age 17 and under. Title will be awarded to the competitor who has accumulated the most points by participating in the activities listed below. Points will be awarded for participation ONLY. The only mandatory activity will be the Essay, as it will be used to select the winner in the event of a numerical tie. Points are awarded to the individual ONLY. Once the ASIYP or AMHAY Horsemastership program has been completed, the points will carry over to the next year.

Competitors may use multiple horses to earn points. The Top Ten individuals with the highest point totals will receive prizes and recognition. Scholarships will be awarded to the winner and runner-up. A win does not eliminate the individual from further competition.
